A sense of well-being – with serious horse power Equally at home on the race track

Michael Bonk is a professional racing driver with heart and soul. This is a job like no other – more a calling than a vocation, and means that Michael Bonk is underway for a large part of the racing season, between March and November – with his loyal companion always at his side: the comfort Liner Arto by Niesmann+Bischoff.

“Motor sports and motorhomes – they fit perfectly together”, says Michael Bonk, and shares his observation that the groups of motorhomes present at the racing courses are consistently becoming larger. The reserved motorhome spaces have long become part of the location scenery.

This is where people sit after long racing days and exchange information. They talk about what they have experienced, but also about the motorhomes in which each of them are travelling. “I keep noticing how quickly visitors start to feel comfortable in the Arto. It really does come with an integrated well-being factor”, says Bonk.

His enthusiasm is infectious, when Bonk reports how relaxing it is to always have your own home and your personal effects with you when travelling. Constantly-changing, anonymous hotel rooms are simply no alternative to this. “I reach my destination, set up my table in the sun and put my feet up – and then I have quite simply arrived. I can make my favourite espresso whenever and wherever I want it”, says the racing driver, describing the Arto lifestyle.

“The Arto comes with an integrated well-being factor.”

He is a creature of habit, admits Michael Bonk; even when he switches the Arto generations, he basically insists on a very similar layout. This represents consistency in the middle of a life which is always in flux: “Here I know what I have; this consistency gives me a feeling of home, and represents quality of living”, explains Bonk.

Travelling becomes a time of relaxation

When you travel so much – how pleasant is it then to drive the motorhome in your leisure time? “In particular in this way of life where you are constantly travelling; in which nothing can really be definitely planned, the flexibility of a motorhome really makes itself noticeable”, says Bonk: “We can just set off whenever our time window permits. We stay independent”. And thanks to the driving characteristics of the Arto, the journey itself becomes part of the holiday.
