Presse release Time for a new generation. Time for the new iSmove.

Less than 3.5 tonnes, but beyond all expectations. That sums up the new iSmove from Niesmann+Bischoff in one sentence.

Polch 28th August. Anyone wanting to travel in the compact class with a total weight of less than 3.5 tonnes had to make sacrifices in terms of space and payload and live with compromises. With a host of new ideas, particularly in the architecture and features of the interior, Niesmann+Bischoff has successfully built a fully-integrated motorhome with significantly more room and a higher payload than could ever have been hoped for in this class.

And it is not only in terms of weight, but also in design and comfort that the new iSmove responds to the demands made by a completely new, younger target group who wants to enter the world of premium motorhoming with a normal car driving licence. To provide premium quality with less than 3.5 tonnes without making compromises in terms of space, it was necessary to rethink the entire motorhome. Everything had to be called into question.

Breaking all the rules.
There are rules that have existed in the motorhome market and the minds of motorhome enthusiasts for decades. The common belief was that a motorhome with every conceivable form of comfort, room for up to five people, comfortable beds, a generous amount of storage and an astonishing payload simply was not feasible with less than five tonnes.

The time had come for someone to challenge these rules. A time for new solutions, as anything with more than 3.5 tonnes is simply not an option for the new generation of customers without a licence that permits anything heavier. Calls for a premium motorhome weighing less than 3.5 tonnes have been growing louder in recent years as a result.

Niesmann+Bischoff now has the perfect answer: the iSmove. It seems impossible, but while it undoubtedly belongs to the compact class based on its exterior dimensions, its passengers can delight in the liner atmosphere it offers inside. And that is quite simply due to the abundance of interior space and a multitude of features that are usually only found in the heavy-weight class of 7.5 tonnes.

Hubert Brandl, Managing Director of Niesmann+Bischoff: “Smaller exterior, bigger interior. Less weight with everything and more inside. You might say a little less more. With the new iSmove, we have maximised premium quality by focusing on the essentials with a host of clever features. The result is a new motorhome for a new generation of customers who want to make the most out of every moment of their lives.”

Compact exterior. Liner-worthy interior.
The true greatness of the new iSmove is revealed by its interior. Clear lines of sight through the entire vehicle and natural acoustics provided by felt-lined interior walls create an entirely new sense of space. An innovative lighting concept with modern glass panels to control the spotlights in the dark anthracite ceiling provides an exceptional feel-good atmosphere in the evening.
To make optimal use of the existing space, Niesmann+Bischoff came up with seven completely new ideas and trademarked them straight away. That includes an electrically operated lifting kitchen shelf, a rotating belted bench seat, a lifting bed that completely disappears in the ceiling and a sliding mechanism that doubles the usable space for the shower and WC.

The new iSmove is being eagerly awaited. But the wait will soon be over with the grand premiere set to be celebrated on 28 August 2020 and the first vehicles will be available for admiring at all dealers from September 2020.
